Fortnite has played host to a dazzling number of themed events, with collaborations with some of the biggest franchises in entertainment, including Avengers: Endgame and John Wick. However, for their latest crossover, Epic Games has teamed up with one of the biggest sportswear brands in the world, Jordan, ahead of the NBA Finals on May 30.

Unlike recent movie-themed matchups, Fortnite x Jordan will not focus on the game's core death-fighting mechanics. Instead, Epic has released a creative new "Downtown Drop" world that requires players to "throw massive jumps, slash through city streets, and collect coins to win."
That's not to say the collaboration won't have any impact on Battle Royale, as you'll likely see a lot of new stuff in the coming weeks. As you might expect, Nike will be promoting the Jordan brand through in-game items, focusing on the classic Air Jordan 1. Players are expected to part with their vBucks to purchase the Hang Time Pack, which includes a Grind Suit, a Clutch suit. and a unique challenge pack, but the Downtown Drop LTM will also set a bunch of free challenges that unlock various styles of skateboard-themed bling. Meanwhile, the Jordan brand will be front and center for one of the most popular video games in the world. Epic Games says the following:

All players will be able to play the Downtown Delivery LTM where they can complete free challenges to unlock the Back Skateboard Retro Backpack and its nine style variations. Owners of the Suspended Time set will give them access to more challenges that can earn them additional rewards, including styles for the Dribbler and Decisive outfits, plus four unique sprays.
