Voting ended this Sunday, June 6 , but it is not the end of election day, because now it is still known which candidates have obtained the victory in governorships, mayors and councils.
Follow here the Preliminary Results Program (PREP ) of the National Electoral Institute (INE) live:
According to the National Electoral Institute, the PREP provides the preliminary results of the elections , through the capture and publication of the data reflected by the polling station officials in the tally sheets and counting of the polling stations that are received in the Centers. Data Collection and Transmission (CEDAT).
The results presented by the PREP are preliminary, informative and not definitive, therefore they have no legal effect.
At the end of election day, the polling station officials count the votes and fill out the Count and Count Records (AEC). After that, the polling station officials inform the candidates' representatives, to proceed to take a photograph with the PREP Casilla application and send the image to the Image and Data Reception Center (CRID).
In the Collection Center, the Electoral Package is received at the receiving tables for the extraction of the PREP-Bag, which contains the Minutes.
For digitization, it is verified that the minutes have their corresponding QR code and that it coincides with their identification data. When they are captured, they are corroborated and if they are not the same, they will be sent to the Verification Center (CV) for final resolution.
The dissemination of PREP data, images and databases are the responsibility of the INE and the official media.
