A woman dies in her house when she is confused with another: 'Madam, your mother is dying'.

A woman has reported a negligence of SUMMA 112 by confusing her mother with a terminal patient and, therefore, not sending an ambulance to attend her while drowning at her home, according to Atlas agency and as El Mundo reported.
Carmen, 72, had a chronic heart condition. In a moment, she began to feel ill and to be unable to breathe. His daughter, Beatriz, calls for emergencies, and when she is taken care of, they assure her that her mother is in palliative care, and this is how the doctor who answers the call communicates.
"Ma'am, we have a lot of warnings, forgive me, eh? But a person who is in a terminal situation, in palliative [care] and who pauses apnea, is that he is dying, ma'am, "the doctor tells him. Beatriz answers that there must be a mistake, because her mother is not palliative.

The confusion continues, as the doctor tells her on the phone that she has told her that she is on palliatives. "or did I make it up?" says the doctor. That's another person, it's another person... "she answers.
The confusion arises because, on the same street, Calahorra 12, in Vicalvaro, there is a woman in palliative care, but she is not the patient she calls for. "well, excuse me, ma'am, maybe there's been a mistake, and we'D be talking about another patient... We sent him an ICU immediately, "says the doctor.
But it was too late. When the toilets arrive, 19 minutes after the first call, they can't do anything for Carmen's life. Beatriz says that "if they had gone and tried to revive her, I think my mother would still be here with us". Apart from the confusion, she reproaches the ways of the doctor who treated him. "I'm calling you about an emergency, you can't treat someone like that and say they're dying," he replies.
