Adoratta: handcrafted, unique handbags inspired by Argentine women
Gisela Di Paolo (39) is a Designer graduated from the UBA and founder of Adoratta, a space for designer handbags that stands out for its artisan and detailed dyes. Today we talk with the professional who tells us in this note the path traveled, the present of the brand and future projections.
“Since I was a little girl I have always been interested in fashion and creation. When I was 11 years old, my grandmother taught me to sew, to make clothes for dolls and she took me to cutting and sewing courses. In 2005, I graduated from the UBA as a clothing designer, and I started making accessories, which was a subject that really caught my attention. That's where this journey began! Where perseverance, passion and constant challenge were the key”, highlights Gisela who comes from a family of entrepreneurs, who taught her to fight for her wishes. Adoratta was born in 2008, when independent Argentine design was booming.
At that time, Di Paolo had a point of sale in the fairs of Palermo Soho and thus she recalls her beginnings. “I had a small production of handbags that I cut manually in the attic of the house. There people began to know us and we began to have more recognition, managing to reach more parts of the country. Over the years, we were able to grow and open our own stores and transform what was a small business into a company that grows more and more every day”, she tells us.
Gisela, what do you think sets Adoratta apart from other handbag brands?
I think that one of the things that sets us apart is that we were able to maintain the craft, the handmade, the attention to detail. We always work with the best quality supplies and the exclusive design of our products is a hallmark that our customers choose collection after collection. Even in full growth, when it was difficult to maintain that way of working, we were able to accommodate and reorganize ourselves to increase production and maintain the essence of the brand.
What kind of bond is generated with the clients?

Our clients are really the most important thing and we always try to maintain a close bond. Argentine women are the greatest inspiration when it comes to creating and designing each collection, their needs, trends and the comfort they seek. This is why it is important to stay close and provide them with a personalized experience. At this point, social networks created a good communication channel, which we keep very active. We are interested in interacting and knowing the tastes of our customers. Through the networks, we always make our followers participate, they are even part of the design of some pieces of the collection!
What is the greatest satisfaction that Adoratta gives you?
For me, the greatest satisfaction is seeing our clients using and enjoying the bags on the street, it is something that fills me, and motivates me to continue advancing season after season. Recently thanks to new clients from abroad, we can also find our bags in countries like Australia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Spain, which makes me very proud. Also something very valuable and important is the human quality of the team together with the dynamism and passion with which we always work.
What comes in the future?
We want more and more women to discover our products every day, which is why we plan to open new exclusive stores in the country. Abroad, we hope to expand our line so that there is an Adoratta in every part of the world.
