Anabel Hernández and her books on drug trafficking and power in Mexico
The journalist and investigator Anabel Hernández, author of the book "Emma and the other ladies of the narco" (Editorial Grijalbo), which has generated many reactions in recent days, and where figures from entertainment and politics such as Sergio Mayer, Andrés García, Galilea Montijo and Ninel Conde have been mentioned, he has published extensive research on figures of power in Mexico such as Genaro García Luna, Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, the Beltrán Leyva family, the government of Felipe Calderón, the disappearance of the Ayotzinapa students in Iguala, the waste of the presidential family of Vicente Fox.
Anabel Hernández was a reporter for newspapers such as Reforma Milenio, EL UNIVERSAL, Reporte Índigo. She was the National Prize for Journalism in 2002, and was recognized by UNICEF for her reporting on networks of slavery and sexual exploitation of Mexican girls in the agricultural fields of San Diego.
Among the books she has published are: “The presidential family”, “The government of change under suspicion of corruption”, “End of party in Los Pinos”; “The accomplices of the President”; "The Lords of Narco".

“Los Señores del Narco” exposes the complicity of organized crime and authorities, from the government to the police, the military and the business community. After the publication of this book, she was threatened and she had to leave the country.
"The traitor" is a book that dates back to January 2011, when the journalist was contacted by one of the lawyers of Vicente Zambada Niebla, better known as Vicentillo, who was facing trial in a Chicago court. Her intention was to share with the journalist documents and facts that amplified and clarified several of the episodes that she had just revealed in "The drug lords."

In her book "The Real Night of Iguala" she takes a tour of the labyrinth of the case of the disappearance of the 43 Ayotzinapa students. It includes testimonies from those who received juicy offers of money to blame themselves and others, and thus close the uncomfortable case, and the voices of witnesses to the desperation of the victims during the hours of extermination and the courage of the survivors.
