Profeco warns "of the risk" for buying flights with Viva Aerobus
The Federal Consumer Attorney's Office (Profeco) imposed a precautionary measure consisting of an "alert" regarding the provider called Aeroenlaces Nacionales, SA de CV, under the commercial name of "Viva Aerobus".
The Attorney General's Office "recommends the consumer population to inform themselves and assess the risk of establishing commercial relations with Viva Aerobus, since it markets flights with rates that do not include the right to carry hand luggage and establishes additional charges for said luggage, which is considered constitutes a practice that harms the interests and rights of consumers and therefore affects the economy of a group of consumers.

The foregoing in accordance with the provisions of article 24 sections I, II, III, XIX, XX, XXI, XXIII and XXVII of the Federal Consumer Protection Law, which establishes that this Federal Consumer Protection Agency has the power to promote and protect consumer rights, as well as apply the necessary measures to promote fairness and legal certainty in relations between suppliers and consumers.
It should be noted that the Federal Consumer Attorney's Office (Profeco) had already warned Viva Aerobus that there would be penalties for collecting carry-on bags, considering the collection illegal, for which the agency placed suspension stamps on Volaris and Viva at the time.
