The United Kingdom prohibits using the smartphone in any way while driving
Great Britain announces that any use of the mobile phone while driving becomes illegal. The details published by the United Kingdom Transportation Department specifically indicate that all uses of the smartphone while driving a car will face a penalty of 200 pound sterling and six points on your driver's license.
It is currently illegal to send text messages and make calls during driving. However, all mobile phone use will be considered illegal from next year, including the use to play or take photos among other applications.
The only exceptions are when the phone is used to make contactless payments, such as a window or toll on the road, the use of hands -free or bluetooth and navigation applications, such as Waze, as long as the mobile phone is on a base.
No phone in the car
In the United Kingdom, you can no longer take photos or videos, move on your music playlist or catch a Pokémon Go.
Drivers will not be able to use the smartphone even if their car is not in motion. The Government will review the road code to explain that being with the car at rest, as in traffic lights or in the middle of traffic, still counts as driving.
"Too many deaths and injuries are produced while mobile phones are retained.By facilitating the prosecution of people who illegally use their phone behind the wheel, we ensure that the law enters the 21st century and, at the same time, we protect all road users even more."said Grant Shapps, Secretary of Transportation of the United Kingdom.
