These are the only 8 clothes you need in your weekend beach suitcase
The weekend suitcase is a challenge for me. I confess that I am denied to do it with common sense and coherence, it does not matter if it is big or small, whether I travel for many days or just for a weekend. The simple fact of thinking about what I should take with me and what not exhausts and overwhelms me ahead of time.
And that's why I've come to forget essential things like my son's bag of socks (in winter), or I've even brought a pair of sandals for myself with the right foot from one pair and the left from a completely different one. There are many of my oversights of this type that, although it is true that they are not a matter of life or death, they can suppose a setback in the planned plan.

But if I have learned something in these last weekends since we were able to move around without perimeter closures in Spain again – I think I have traveled outside of Madrid all of them since then–, it is that the perfect beach suitcase is made up of very few garments. Of course, you have to take the time to think and organize. And what I do is write down the previous days everything that occurs to me –necessary and expendable–, so that when the time comes to start packing my suitcase I don't forget anything.

And if we talk about weekends at the beach –two nights and two days–, I have already proven it: no more than eight items are necessary. And obviously, some flip flops and flat sandals (in addition to running "shoes" if necessary), and two bags, one for the night, rather small, and the other for the day, a carrycot type that serves as a handbag on the trip and , incidentally, for visits to the beach. In addition to sunglasses and hat or cap.
But back to clothes, which are usually the main concern, things are not as complicated as it seems. I opt for natural fabrics such as linen and 100% cotton, in addition to the essential denim. I like to wear long sleeves in summer evenings (as long as the heat is not stifling), and bare legs. And I always have a sarong, t-shirt or jacket close at hand to protect me from the air conditioning.
