Teresa Guzmán, the 91-year-old Marbella influencer

At an age when most of her friends don't really know what a social network is and use their cell phones exclusively for voice calls, Teresa, 91 years old and two months shy of her 92nd birthday, is the mother of 5 children, grandmother, great-grandmother, influencer and Primark ambassador. She has always been modern. She got her driver's license at the age of 28, when she returned from a honeymoon, when a woman behind the wheel was a rarity, and her husband gave her a white 600 that she had fallen in love with. She no longer drives, but she has been until recently. The phrase that she has of her on her Instagram profile @bisayayayeye sums up her philosophy of life: «Look for me where youth is. Age is a number 91."

Teresa was born in Madrid, but she came to Marbella more than 30 years ago, behind her daughter Begoña, who assures that her mother has always been very independent and self-confident: «She wore the pants at home», emphasizes.

She has never been a woman to use. She studied mercantile expert, the old career of commerce, when most women stayed at home taking care of her family. She met her husband, Luis, coming out of a nuns' school on Bravo Murillo street in Madrid. «She took off her jacket, threw it on the ground and told me: Step on, brunette, and I stepped on it. She asked for my phone number and I didn't give it to her, but she located me by my uniform and that's where we started », Teresa recalls.

"Keep him, I can't raise him"

He wanted to be a bullfighter, but thinking of starting a family, that vocation of hers scared him a lot and he told her to choose between her and the bull, and he chose her. They got married, had two boys and two girls, and years later a grandson whom she recognized as if she were her mother, when her son's girlfriend told her: "Keep him, I can't raise him."

In Madrid they had a decoration shop and another for suits in the Chamberí area, but when one of their two daughters came to work in Marbella and they saw the weather, the people and the lifestyle, they decided to retire and stay on the Costa del Sol. "It's what being autonomous has to do" (laughs).

When her husband died two years ago, the doctor suggested that she look for some activity to entertain herself and she opened a profile on Instagram with her daughter, Begoña de Ella. As she has always loved shopping and she doesn't like to dress like women her age, she took a picture of herself wearing Primark clothes and uploaded it to the internet. Someone saw her and they suggested a collaboration. When she opened a Primark in Marbella, she began to send her clothes that she selects and combines to her liking, but thinking of her followers.

In her photos and videos of her, she always appears with makeup and very coordinated. Impeccable manicure, earrings, rings, bags, sunglasses... she doesn't give up any accessory in her outfits. Even at home she often wears heels: "You have to be prepared just in case," she says.

She, smug, says that recently they told her on the street: You're doing well, beautiful... And she replied: "You have complimented a 91-year-old lady... people are bored," she jokes. But she becomes serious to ensure that she does not want to have another partner. She spent 60 years with her husband between girlfriend and married. "He was very affectionate. Her philosophy of life is summed up in her profile: "I'm young, look for me where youth is." Teresa justifies it because it also applies to herself. "Why do I want to be old? I like to go out and dress in white or pink. I feel young and I am very happy to surround myself with young people.

Her tastes and outgoings are not typical of a grandmother either: “Once in a while I love to go to Opium (a luxury beach club in Marbella) to have a champagne with strawberries. I am very cheerful and very flirtatious, I carry sorrows inside.
