Tricks so that your clothes always smell good | Diario de Cuyo - News from San Juan, Argentina and the world
You wash your clothes, you put softener on them to make them smell better and you even perfume them before putting them away, but then, when it's time to wear them, they don't smell as you would like because maybe you didn't realize it and put the clothes away a little damp, or the cupboard door was left open while you were cooking and everything was left behind in the smell of food.
If you hate the smell of being closed, old, damp and even dusty, we will tell you about some tricks that you can implement to make each of your clothes always smell amazing and without much effort.
Homemade sprayer
There are air fresheners that can be made at home in a very simple way, and that way you will always make your clothes smell good. To do it you will only need a glass of water, 10 drops of essential oil of the aroma that you like the most, such as vanilla, lavender, coconut, among others; and a spray bottle.
You mix everything in the bottle with the sprayer and spray two to three times a week in the closet. Every time you open it or put on some of the clothes you will feel the pleasure of putting on something with a delicious and fresh aroma.
Aromatic sacs
The good thing about scent sacks is that you put them in the closet and it can spend weeks scenting your clothes, as well as being easy to make.
For this you will need fabric to create the sack and natural aromatic products such as cloves, cinnamon, citrus peels or sprigs of lavender. The first step is to create the bag, sewing on the sides and then placing the products you have chosen inside. You can hang it on the coat rack or place it in the drawers and you will notice how your clothes smell phenomenal.
Aromatic bouquets
Still at the easy level, this option does not require much technique to make your clothes smell amazing and natural.
You only need to take some branches of herbs or aromatic plants, such as lavender or even jarilla if the aroma of the countryside captivates you. Gather some branches, tie them up and hang them upside down in a corner of the house to dry for a couple of days. After that time, you can introduce these herbs inside the closet, placing them on the coat rack or in a cloth bag so they don't get dirty.
Soaps, good allies
Another option, already a classic, is to place soaps in the drawers to achieve the “clean smell”. To do this, choose those that give off an intense aroma that is to your liking and place them in a cloth bag or in a box, not on clothing.
An important fact is that if you scratch them, they give off more aroma, so the persistence and intensity will be greater.
May everything smell like you
We use so many products with aromas that they end up mixing, achieving a strange or indefinite perfume. To prevent this from happening to you, you can impregnate make-up remover cotton with the perfume that you usually use and place it inside the closet or in drawers. Try not to place it between clothes, since some perfumes stain.
