What is aerial yoga and what benefits does it have?
And how is aerial yoga different from traditional yoga?
The biggest and main difference with traditional yoga is that "aerial yoga is performed in suspension," says Javier. “During the yoga session, you find yourself suspended in a fabric called compluvium, on top of which the different yoga positions are performed.”
Can it be combined with other disciplines?
How often we do aerial yoga will depend on your fitness goals. Javier tells us that if, for example and in a generic way, “we dedicate three days to functional strength training, investing one of those days in an aerial yoga session would be a very good option. But he does not mean that we can only do one session of this discipline in the week, we could even reverse it and do two sessions of aerial yoga and one of functional training. ” With aerial yoga, strength is also worked on and the body is toned, “which is why it will depend on the objectives that each person wants to achieve and what to work on.”
